Stripers, Bluefish, and Weakfish. This is how every season starts for us. From May 1 to June 30 you can expect to see action with all 3 of these gamefish inside Barnegat Bay. We spend part of the trip anchored up chumming with clams for Stripers. These fish average 10 to 15 pounds. The rest of the time can be used casting lures for big Tiderunner Weakfish, mostly 7 to 12 pound fish! The blues are 2 to 6 pounds on surface lures in shallow water. You see every attack!
